By purchasing access to FormulateIt and using the application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.
FormulateIt is a web-based sauce formulation tool that converts kitchen recipes into weight-based commercial formulas. It provides formulation guidance, estimated food safety parameters, ingredient analysis, and a product specification sheet for use in commercial sauce production planning.
FormulateIt is designed for vinegar-based and acidified sauces including hot sauce, BBQ sauce, marinades, and dressings. It is not designed for dairy-based sauces, low-acid salsas, or products requiring constant refrigeration.
FormulateIt is a formulation planning tool, not a substitute for professional food safety certification. The pH, water activity, and shelf life values provided are estimates based on published reference values and carry inherent uncertainty (±0.5 pH units, ±0.10 aW units). These values must be verified by physical laboratory measurement on finished product before commercial production.

FormulateIt is offered as a one-time payment of $79 USD for access to formulate one commercial sauce recipe. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
Upon successful payment, you will receive access to the FormulateIt application. Access is granted via a unique access token delivered through the payment confirmation redirect. You are responsible for saving your access information.
Access tokens are for individual use only and may not be shared, resold, or distributed. We reserve the right to revoke access if tokens are shared or misused.
All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of the product and the immediate access granted upon payment, we do not offer refunds. If you experience a technical issue preventing access to the application, please contact us at hello@formulateit.net and we will work to resolve it.
FormulateIt and its operator are not liable for any damages, losses, regulatory violations, food safety incidents, or commercial losses arising from the use of information, estimates, or documents generated by the application.
You assume full responsibility for verifying all formulation parameters through appropriate laboratory testing and professional review before commencing commercial production. You agree that any use of FormulateIt outputs in a commercial context is at your sole discretion and risk.
In no event shall our liability exceed the amount you paid for access to the service.
The FormulateIt application, including its ingredient database, calculation methodology, design, and content, is protected by copyright and is the intellectual property of FormulateIt. You may not copy, reverse engineer, reproduce, or distribute any part of the application or its underlying data.
Specification sheets and formulation outputs generated from your own recipes are yours to use for your commercial purposes.

FormulateIt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the formulation estimates will be accurate for every formula. Food science is complex and ingredient interactions can produce results that differ from database reference values.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of FormulateIt after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update.
